>How do I play this game?

Press the 'left' and 'right' keys to move and 'Z' to shoot. The 'up' and 'down' keys change the shot angle. 'X' changes between the two characters. Important: hold the 'CTRL' key to skip dialogue. 'ESC' pauses the game.

>Why did you make this game?

I wanted to learn how to simulate projectile physics, and then make a fun experience with that knowledge. I especially enjoyed making homing bullets. Unfortunately, it didn't make it in the demo. In fact, this is a very short prototype (~2.5 minutes), so you should be able to beat it easily and go brag to your friends about it.
